Who is this course for?
This Level 2 qualification is designed for new entrants to the industry, providing them with the basic skills and experience they need to pursue a rewarding career in electrical installation.
Entry Requirements
You need to undertake and pass an interview and aptitude test. You will also require three GCSEs at grade 4 in Maths, English and ideally a science or technical subject.
What will you learn?
You will cover practical skills including conduit bending, wiring techniques and installation of components in the workshop. The following theory units will be undertaken:
- Principles of Electrical Science
- Electrical Installations Technology
- Health and Safety within Building Services Engineering
- Communication in the Construction Industry

You will learn on-site
What will you need to bring with you?
Students will be required to purchase three polo shirts, a pair of boots and recommended trouser overalls. They are also advised to purchase a course book for revision. It is recommended that learners purchase some tools to assist them in completing the practical elements of the course.

You will assessed with end of unit exams and practical assignments
