This two-year technical study programme has been designed with employers to help you develop the knowledge and skills needed in healthcare. You will attend health care settings for a minimum of 45 days to gain work experience. In Year 2 you will select an occupational specialism route.

Who is this course for?
This T Level is a two-year technical study programme designed with employers to give you the skills that you need to work within the healthcare industry. You will attend health care settings for a minimum of 45 days to gain work experience. In Year 1 you will study core knowledge and skills needed for the health profession and in Year 2 you will study the Supporting the Adult Nursing Team Occupational Specialism.
Entry Requirements
You will need five or more GCSEs at grades 9-4, including Maths, English Language and Science at grade 9-5

You will study:
- Core knowledge and skills such as health, safety and environmental regulations in the health sector and providing personal care
- Occupation-specific specialist skills and knowledge
How will you learn?
This course will be delivered on-site.
What will you need to bring with you?
You will be required to apply for and hold the relevant clear DBS check. You will need practical, smart clothing and shoes for your placement and some placements may require you to purchase a uniform. The placement is a mandatory part of your course.
How will you be assessed?
You will be assessed through coursework and internally set assignments and projects. You are expected to integrate the experiences you gain on placement into your assignments.
There are two examinations in Year 1 and two examinations in Year 2. There are practical tasks to be carried out in your placement setting.

Further Study
You could consider a higher level apprenticeship or a higher education degree in a subject such as Adult Nursing, Paramedic Science, Children’s Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Occupational Therapy.
